CodeMyRobot.ca is not for profit, volunteer run, grassroots organization that encourages and empowers youth to try coding a robot for the the first time. To reach as many students as possible we supply schools with coding robots at not cost. The students then have an opportunity to join our online competition that illustrates their coding robot outcomes.
Students range from 9 to 19 and due to the kind donations from many sponsors we have created the CARL 7 wifi robot system with the ESP32 Wroom32 chip as our sponsor.
Project #1: This years challenge will be to create the wifi and communication structures that will allow students to use the Robot both with and IDE and remotely. Ideas include but are not limited to:
- uploading over the air
- creating a phone app
- contributing to creating the wordpress site and support documentations
Project #2: Our new CARL 7 wifi robot educational learning system with the ESP32 Wroom32 chip is in need of code for the sensors and the IDE libraries to be configured. Once we have that setup the creation of some cool challenges to be developed, allowing students to enjoy playing with robots. Our sensor include, Ultrasonic, time of flight, TCRT 5000, accelerometer, RGB and Buzzer. If you would like to play with some hardware, this is the challenge for you.
