Random Hacks of Kindness Ottawa is currently looking for organizations who are interested in participating in our event. We have lots of experience helping organizations find a problem to work on; so don’t worry if you don’t have a clear idea for what to work on in mind.
What makes a good hackathon project?
- It has to be a large enough to be fun to work on, but small enough that you could make a dent in it over the course of a weekend
- The work that goes on over the weekend is released under an open source or creative commons license
- The intended atmosphere of the event is to work hard, have fun and deliver something tangible (prototype, concept, design) by the end of the hackathon
What will we need from you?
Commitment: to be successful, we need a committed stakeholder from your organization to participate in the event. This individual plays a critical role in the hackathon, helping participants understand the context and environment in which organization operates.. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be the same person, and more than one individual is more than welcome!
